SHIBORI
Shibori is a Japanese technique of tie-dyeing. The earliest known example of Japanese cloth dyed with this technique dates to the 8th century.
There are an infinite number of ways that one can bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress cloth prior to dyeing.
Shibori craftsmen are renowned for their ingenuity and efficiency, as well as for their meticulous attention to detail that extends to the choice of a tying thread.
